None at all. The lost wax method is surprisingly intuitive, and we walk you through everything from the start.
What metal will my ring be cast in?
Most people go with sterling silver, which is included in the workshop price. If you'd like your ring cast in gold or another metal, we can arrange that, just at an additional cost that will be quoted on the day.
How long until I get my ring?
After your session, your wax carving is sent off for casting. Allow around 2–3 weeks to receive your finished piece in the mail.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely! and if you book together, you'll save $50.
What if I make a mistake?
That's part of it. The wax is easy to rework and "mistakes" can often end up being part of the design. We'll help you figure it out but you can always start again if need be.
Is the workshop suitable for groups?
The Lost Wax workshop takes up to 10 people, so it works well for birthdays, hens parties, and team events. Head to the Groups page for more info.
